What are enzymes and how do they work?

Enzymes are one of the main compounds in our body. These are naturally occurring proteins that accelerate and control all vital processes in the body. They regulate the processes of formation, decomposition and energy release of new substances.

In order to be energetic, a sufficient amount of active enzymes must live in the body. More than 5 thousand have been found in the human body. 22 different types of enzymes.

The most widely known enzymes are those that break down carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, respectively.

Amylase - breaks down carbohydrates, starch and sugar, which are predominant in plant foods (potatoes, fruits, vegetables, grains).

Lipase - helps digest fatty foods such as dairy products, nuts, oils, eggs and meat.

Cellulase – helps digest high-fiber foods like broccoli, asparagus, and beans, which can cause gas. Lactase - breaks down the sugar lactose into glucose and galactose.

Maltase - breaks down the sugar maltose into smaller glucose molecules.

Why are enzymes so important to our health?

    yes, the stomach sometimes goes on strike. sometimes after some 2-3 hours after a meal, I throw up all the food I have eaten…. I have been making eco-enzymes from homemade apples for 3 years now, for food and cooking, I just lack the knowledge of how and when to use them. Would they help the stomach? maybe you could upload some tips or links? thank you
